This is the stunning finale to Megan Shepherd's the Madman’s Daughter trilogy, and I completely excited to read the final conclusion! This has been a favorite series of mine since it began with The Madman's Daughter, a tale inspired by H. G. Wells's The Island of Dr. Moreau and Her Dark Curiosity that takes inspiration from Robert Louis Stevenson's The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
